Project information
Located at Museumplein in Amsterdam, this public restroom facility has been installed in one of the city’s most visited public spaces.
The unit is equipped with The Revolving Toilet system and includes an outside urinal module, offering a hygienic and practical solution for the many visitors to the area.
The design is inspired by the authentic Amsterdam plaskrul, reinterpreting this well-known local typology in a contemporary and more comfortable way.
In this way, the unit connects with Amsterdam’s public-space identity while providing the benefits of a modern self-cleaning toilet system.
Installed in 2026, the facility has already welcomed a high number of visitors since opening.
As part of a larger tender awarded to Sanitronics in 2024, the project contributes to the expansion of clean, recognizable and user-friendly public restroom facilities across Amsterdam.
