New unit in Krimpen aan den IJssel

Last week, a new unit in Krimpen aan den IJssel was opened by alderman John Janson. The unit is located in the Middenweteringpark and is opened every day from 7am until 7pm.

The unit consists of one wheelchair-accessible Revolving Toilet by Sanitronics. The Revolving Toilet is an innovative toilet system that uses two toilet bowls. Whilst one toilet bowl is getting cleaned in the technical area, the other can be used in the user area. This means short wait times that do not compromise the cleanliness of the toilet.

The exterior of the unit is made of Corten steel. Corten steel is a durable material that, due to the oxidation process, forms a layer of rust that then protects the layers underneath from almost anything. To finish it off, an AED was added to the exterior. This makes the unit an even safer space.

Because everyone has the right to a safe and hygienic toilet at all times.
