Wijkpark Oude Westen is a serene urban green space nestled between West-Kruiskade, Gouvernestraat, and Westersingel in the Oude Westen district of Rotterdam. The park was established in 1987 through the dedication of residents during a period of urban renewal.
Offering a tranquil escape from Rotterdam’s busy city center, the park invites visitors to stroll along winding paths, relax in shaded nooks, or admire local sculptures while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. It’s a great spot for reading, people-watching, or enjoying a picnic, and therefore an ideal location for a public restroom.
This wheelchair-accessible restroom, equipped with a Revolving Toilet system, is part of a larger rollout of public toilets for the Municipality of Rotterdam. With these previous-generation standalone units, we continue to work towards more accessible restroom solutions across the city.
