Project information
Located in Oosterpark in Amsterdam, this project marked the installation of the first Sanitronics unit for the Municipality of Amsterdam.
The stand-alone unit is equipped with The Revolving Toilet system, offering a clean, reliable and user-friendly restroom solution in one of the city’s best-known public parks.
Oosterpark is a lively and well-visited park in Amsterdam-East, used daily by local residents and visitors for relaxation, walking and events.
By placing a modern public restroom facility in this green urban setting, the project contributes to comfort, accessibility and a better visitor experience throughout the park.
The unit combines a wheelchair-accessible toilet with sliding door, an accessible toilet and an external urinal module.
This makes the facility suitable for different visitor needs while supporting hygienic and efficient use in a busy public park environment.
The project was officially opened by Jan-Bert Vroege on behalf of the Municipality of Amsterdam and An-Jes Oudshoorn, who was responsible for the project on behalf of the municipality.
Installed in 2025, the Oosterpark location forms part of the larger tender awarded to Sanitronics in 2024 for public restroom facilities in Amsterdam.
